These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of hardshellexteriors.com (the “Site”) and your engagement with Hard Shell Exteriors LLC (“Hard Shell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or requesting services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Our services

Hard Shell provides roofing and exterior contracting services — including roof replacement, repair, storm and insurance restoration, inspections, gutters, and siding — across Tacoma, Federal Way, Pierce and King County, and the greater Puget Sound. Information on this Site is for general purposes and does not constitute a binding offer or guarantee of specific results.

2. Free inspections, estimates & quotes

Roof inspections are provided free and with no obligation. Any estimate or quote we provide is based on the condition observed at the time of inspection and is an approximation, not a fixed contract. Pricing, scope, and timelines may change if hidden conditions are discovered. Estimates are valid for the period stated on the estimate (typically 30 days) unless noted otherwise.

3. Agreements & scope of work

Any work we perform is governed by a separate written agreement or contract signed by you and Hard Shell. That agreement controls the specific scope, materials, price, schedule, and warranty for your project. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your signed agreement, the signed agreement governs.

4. Warranties

We stand behind our work. Workmanship warranties and any manufacturer (material) warranties are described in your signed agreement and the applicable manufacturer documentation. Except as expressly stated in your written agreement, services and materials are provided without other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Warranties may be voided by unauthorized alterations, lack of maintenance, or damage from events outside normal wear.

5. Insurance & storm-damage claims

We’re glad to help document damage and work alongside your insurance carrier. However, Hard Shell does not control and cannot guarantee any insurer’s decision, coverage determination, or payment. You remain responsible for your policy obligations, deductibles, and any amounts your insurer does not cover.

6. Payment

Payment terms, deposits, and schedules are set out in your signed agreement. Past-due balances may be subject to late charges and collection costs as permitted by Washington law.

7. Scheduling, weather & delays

Roofing in the Pacific Northwest means weather happens. We may reschedule work for safety or conditions beyond our control (including weather, material availability, or permitting), and we are not liable for delays caused by such factors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hard Shell is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a project will not exceed the amount you paid for that project under the applicable agreement.

9. Website use & intellectual property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, the Hard Shell name and turtle mark, photos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Hard Shell Exteriors LLC and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the Site or attempt to disrupt it.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Pierce County, Washington.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of the Site means you accept the current Terms.
